Image digitization activities continue. As of January 2024, the number of RAA’s digitized images database has been increased to a total of 685,800 images.
This digitized archive is unique in its kind and is a result of expeditions trips over the last 5 decades throughout the neighboring countries of Republic of Armenia.
These archived materials are being used in RAA publications and the published information is also being entered into the archives database, which can be viewed at the following link: https://www.armenianarchitecture.org.
The digitization process ensures the preservation of these invaluable images while making them accessible to a global audience. This initiative highlights the rich cultural heritage and historical significance of the region, thereby facilitating the work of researchers, educators, and enthusiasts in their exploration and analysis of visual documentation pertaining to Armenia’s past.
