Inauguration of the New Office of the Armenian Architecture Research Foundation
On May 7, 2025, the Armenian Architecture Research Foundation (AARF) officially inaugurated its new office in Yerevan. The facility includes a dedicated hall named in honor of the Foundation’s founder, Armen Hakhnazarian, and a library named after the prominent monument expert, Samvel Karapetyan.
The inauguration ceremony featured addresses by the following distinguished speakers:
- Mr. Jora Manoucherian, President of RAA/USA and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the RAA Foundation
- Mr. Ruben Galichian, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the RAA Foundation
- Ms. Margrit Hakhnazaryan, Member of the Board of Trustees of the RAA Foundation
- Ms. Emma Abrahamyan, Director of the RAA Foundation
- Mr. Raffi Kortoshyan, Co-Director of the RAA Foundation
During the ceremony, appreciation awards were presented to the following individuals in recognition of their steadfast dedication and significant contributions to the acquisition of the Foundation’s new office building:
- Mr. Ruben Galichian, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees
- Mr. Artashes Kakoyan, Legal Counsel and Member of the Board of Trustees
- Mr. Sevak Aleksanyan, Deputy Legal Counsel
As well as the members of the Foundation’s Executive Board for their valuable support:
- Ms. Emma Abrahamyan (Director)
- Mr. Raffi Kortoshyan (Co-Director)
- Mr. Armen Gevorgyan (Co-Director)
- Mr. Ashot Hakobyan (Co-Director)
The establishment of the new office was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the RAA/USA Board of Directors, under the leadership of President Jora Manoucherian, and with the generous financial support of The H. Hovnanian Family Foundation, Mr. Arthur and Mrs. Lily Seredian, and numerous other benefactors.
This new institutional home will serve as a central hub for the ongoing research, documentation, and preservation of Armenian architectural heritage, reinforcing the Foundation’s mission and expanding its capacity for future generations.
